Abstract

Concreta is a mixture consisting of cement, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate water and additives which are widely used in construction. In this study, what was done was the partial replacement of cement with bamboo fiber. The purpose of using bamboo fiber is to determine the compressive strength of concrete. Therefore, the researchers made variations of bamboo fiber with 0.25%, 0.5%, 0.75% with a fiber length of 2 cm. concrete is planned using miced proportions (1 : 2 : 3) with a Water Cement Factor of 0.5. From the results that the researchers got on the slump value, normal concrete was 12 cm, 0.25% bamboo fiber was 11 cm, bamboo fiber 0.5% by 10.5 cm, bamboo fiber 0.75% by 10 cm. The results of the compressive strength test of concrete carried out when the concrete was 28 days old showed that the normal compressive strength of concrete without bamboo fiber was 21.89 MPa, with 0.25% bamboo fiber was 20.76 MPa, concrete with bamboo fiber 0.5% is 19.25 MPa, concrete on bamboo fiber 0.75% is 17,93 MPa.
