<p><em>This study aims to discuss how to increase interest in learning social studies subjects for class IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Sidikalang through Nearpod learning media for the 2021/2022 academic year. Nearpod is a platform or learning media that can be accessed for free using a website and can also be downloaded via the supporting Play Store on mobile phones (gadgets) and other technological devices, which aims to offer an interactive learning process experience between teachers and students online (online learning). This study is to determine whether or not there is an increase in interest in learning social studies for class IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Sidikalang through the use of Nearpod learning media. This study uses a quantitative research method. There are experimental and control groups of 30 respondents in the experimental group and 30 respondents in the control group data collection techniques in this study are observation techniques, written tests, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study is descriptive statistical analysis, prerequisite tests, and hypothesis testing, the results of this study prove that the use of Nearpod learning media has increased interest in learning social studies lessons, and the effectiveness of student learning after using Nearpod has increased.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Keywords</em></strong><em>: increasing interest in learning, learning media, Nearpod</em></p>Irene Anjeli PurbaSanggam PardedeEpisman Gea

<p><em>This study aims to determine the effect of the family environment and peers on the learning achievement of economic subjects in class XI SMA St. Thomas 3 Medan in the academic year 2021/2022. This type of research is quantitative research. This study used a population of all students of class-XI SMA St. Thomas 3, amounting to 44 students as the research sample. The analytical methods used in this research are the Normality Test, Multiple Linear Regression Test, Homogeneity Test, Partial Hypothesis Testing (T-Test), Simultaneous Hypothesis Testing (F Test) and Coefficient of Determination (R2 Test). The results of this study indicate that the family environment and peers have a positive and significant effect on economic learning achievement with the equation = 44,627 + 0.382X1 + 0.193X2 with the explanation that for every 1% increase in the family environment, learning achievement will increase by 0.382 and every 1% increase peers, learning achievement will increase 0.193. Partial hypothesis testing (t-test) for variable X1 obtained tcount X1 (0.596) > t-table (1.680) and p-value (0.000) which can be concluded that the independent variable X1 (family environment) has a significant effect on the variable tied to Y (learning achievement). and the independent variable X2 (peers) obtained t-count (0.379) > t-table (1.680) and p-value (0.000) which can be concluded that the independent variable X2 (peers) has a significant effect on the dependent variable Y (learning achievement).</em></p>Stevani SimamoraMutiara Miyagi SitanggangSari Rosa Jeli Sihombing

<p><em>This research aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy on the learning achievement of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Medan for the 2023/2024 academic year. This study is a type of descriptive quantitative research. The population of this research was students in class VIII IPS at SMP Negeri 2 Medan for the 2023/2024 academic year with a total of 346 students, while the sample used was 81 students. The analytical methods used in this research are the Data Normality Test, Simple Linear Regression Test, Coefficient of Determination Test, and Hypothesis Test. The result of the research showed that the independent variable namely self-efficacy contributed 26.4 to the dependent variable, and the remaining 73.6% was influenced by other variables and the partial hypothesis test (t) obtained a value based on SPSS calculations of 5.425 where tcount > ttable, namely 5.425 > 1.664 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there are positive and significant influences between self-efficacy on the learning achievement of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Medan for the 2023/2024 academic year.</em></p>Meliana SimanjuntakInda Anggreny Siburian

<p><em>This study aims to describe the effect of creative learning materials on learning outcomes in economics. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The population of the study was all 234 students of class X of SMA HKBP Sidikalang. The research sample is a saturated sampling that use the population as sample members. The data collection technique is carried out using a questionnaire or questionnaire that is distributed to respondents directly. The primary data obtained were analyzed using the Simple Linear Regression Test, and the research hypothesis testing was carried out using the Regression Significance Test (t-Test) and the Regression Coefficient Significance Test (f-Test). The results of this study indicate that creative learning materials have a positive effect on economics learning outcomes. Through the equation Y = 26.274 + 0.798X, it is explained that every 1% increase in creative learning materials will increase learning outcomes by 0.798. The significance test of regression (t-test) obtained t-count 10.345 > t-table 2.109 and p-value (0.000) shows Ha can be accepted that there is an influence of creative learning materials on learning outcomes of economic education. This study has a weakness because it was only conducted at the middle level locus. <p><em>This study aims to explore the role and efforts of empowerment of information and communication technology on learning. This study is a qualitative study with a literature study approach. The subjects of the study are scientific works including books, proceedings, journals, and the latest encyclopedias, while the object of the study is the empowerment of information and communication technology in education and/or learning. The results of the literature study indicate that there are two main perspectives on the role and efforts of ICT in learning that can be maximized, namely (1) the perspective of ICT in the curriculum. (2) The perspective of ICT and its application in learning. This study has limitations because it was only conducted through literature studies so the measuring instruments used were the opinions of most researchers and references. Therefore, it is suggested that the following study can conduct this study through quantitative research or qualitative research with a wider instrument measurement tool.</em></p>Sanggam PardedeNelson Manurung
