Teachers’ Readiness in Shifting Students from National Exam to State University Entrance Selection

Abstract

This research focuses onthe properness of 2 (two) Indonesia standard examinations. Both National Examination and State University New Student Entrance Selection 2013 are used as the instrument in determining the students and prospective university students passing. The instruments must meet the requirement of a good test. To determine whether both instruments are considered as a good test, the writer tries to analyse them through the analysis of questions based on Bloom‟s Taxonomy Cognitive Domain. The result shows that both exams are dominated by Comprehension component of Bloom‟s Taxonomy Cognitive Domain. This is due to the domination of the reading-text-based questions.
