Peningkatan Pengetahuan Kanker Payudara Melalui Program Education To Prevent Breast Cancer (C-TOPRAC)

Insiden kanker payudara terus mengalami kenaikan secara global termasuk di Indonesia. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa hal seperti keterlambatan deteksi dini, kesadaran yang rendah untuk melakukan deteksi dini kanker payudara, kurangnya efektivitas program deteksi di tingkat fasilitas kesehatan primer, serta perubahan pola gaya hidup di masyarakat yang buruk. Pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai kanker payudara dan keterampilan Pemeriksaan Payudara Sendiri (SADARI) masih terbatas. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan judul Education to Prevent Breast Cancer atau disingkat C-TOPRAC ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan wawasan mengenai kanker payudara. Metode yang digunakan adalah kampanye edukasi dengan menggunakan media poster, aplikasi messenger, dan media sosial. Tingkat pengetahuan peserta diukur dengan tes sebelum dan sesudah rangkaian seluruh kegiatan. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan tentang kanker payudara dan keterampilan SADARI pada masyarakat setelah pemberian edukasi dan pelatihan.
