HUBUNGAN KEKUATAN TANAH DASAR DENGAN PERKERASAN KAKU (RIGID PAVEMENT)

Abstract

Roads are one of the important infrastructures in supporting the mobility of community activities. Based on type of pavement, it can be devided into 3 namely flexible pavement, rigid pavement and composite pavement. In making road constructions especially rigid pavement, it depends on the thickness of the concrete slab without paying attention to the base soil layer (CBR sub grade), because in rigid pavement as the main construkction it is a high quality cement concrete layer, and the sub base layer only functions as a supporting construction. In rigid pavement, the subbase layer between the subgrade and rigid pavement needs to be used to prevent pumping.
