Abstract

On the Hepata roa section, Laguboti District is a district road woth the status of a primary local road. Along with the increasing age of the road and other factors that cause damage to the road section. Therefore, this study aims to identify the type of road damage that occurs using a comparison between the Bina Marga method and the PCI (Pavement Condition Index) method and how to determine the type of maintenance that is appropriate to the method used. From the results of the damage analysis using the Bina Marga method, it shows that priority order of the road is 10 (priority order > 7) is a class A priority. While the results of the road damage analysis based on the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) shows that the road conditions value or PCI value at the research location is 18.9 which is included in the classification of pavement quality with a very poor level. Based on the type of road quality, the type of maintenance that is appropriate for roads using the Bina Marga method is a routine maintenance program and based on the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method, namely the type of major maintenance where maintenance is carried out on the entire road unit through overlay or reconstruction of the road.
