Abstract

This study aims to explore the role and efforts of empowerment of information and communication technology on learning. This study is a qualitative study with a literature study approach. The subjects of the study are scientific works including books, proceedings, journals, and the latest encyclopedias, while the object of the study is the empowerment of information and communication technology in education and/or learning. The results of the literature study indicate that there are two main perspectives on the role and efforts of ICT in learning that can be maximized, namely (1) the perspective of ICT in the curriculum. (2) The perspective of ICT and its application in learning. This study has limitations because it was only conducted through literature studies so the measuring instruments used were the opinions of most researchers and references. Therefore, it is suggested that the following study can conduct this study through quantitative research or qualitative research with a wider instrument measurement tool.
