Industrial development and urban growth have a significant impact on the hydrological cycle, thus having a major influence on urban drainage. An example is the development of a residential area which is suspected to be cause of flooding and inundation in the surrounding environment. Drainage is one of the basic facilitie designed as a system to meet community needs and is an important component in city planning (infrastructure planning in particular). Drainage mean draining, discarding, or channeling water. In general, drainage as a series of water structures that fungction to reduce or dispose of excee water an area or land, so that the land can be used optimally and drainage can also be interpreted to control the quality of ground water. The location of the study area is needed to collect a number of information about the area as well as the envirounment of the place or location of case study. And what is meant by indirect data collection is data collection of officialis related to the procurement of data to help fulfill and complete. Data based on the Tigarunggu street area, Simalungun Regency is the periode 2, 5 and 10 years in both left and right drainages are still able to accommodate the large flood discharge in the research area.
