Abstract

A weir is a water structure that crosses a river with the aim of raising the river water level so that the river flow can be tapped (withdrawal) dan flow by gravity to meet irrigation water needs, or currently developing dams are also utilized by hydropower. The purpose of this research is to determine stability against overturning, stability against sliding and stability against soil bearing capacity. The method used is weir stability analysis using secondary data. Based on the stability analysis of the weir, the stability value is obtained under normal conditionsl overtuning stability (SF = 2 > 1,5); shear stability (SF 3,19 > 1,5); eccentricity value (e = 2,531 < 2,688); ultimate bearing capacity (qult = 484,709); soil bearing capacity stability (SF = 6,101 > 3). Stability value in flood conditions; overturning stability ((SF = 1,809 > 1,25); shear stability (SF = 1,583 > 1,25); ultimate bearing capacity (qult = 484,709); stability of soil bearing capacity (SF = 4,781 > 3). From the results of stability control calculations, the weir is declared safe.
