Implementasi Program Edukasi Karir dalam Membangun Kesadaran Pendidikan Tinggi Siswa SMA di Desa Paropo

This community service examines the implementation of a career education program in building awareness of higher education among high school students in Paropo Village. The low level of career preparation and interest in pursuing higher education in Paropo Village is caused by a lack of guidance and limited information regarding higher education as a long-term investment. As a result, some students do not yet have a clear future plan after completing their final level of education.This community service uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through participatory observation and documentation studies of the Kuliah Praktik Pengabdian Masyarakat (KPPM) program. The results of the community service show that the implementation of the career education program has a positive impact on students' awareness of the importance of higher education. Students begin to understand the necessary preparation steps to continue their studies and show enthusiasm in planning their educational future. Thus, the career education program can serve as an effective strategy in guiding and motivating high school students to prepare for further education in a more planned and structured manner.
